A fine sporting musket from the famous gunsmithing city of Eibar in Spain. The first third of the barrel is octagonal, and decorated with multiple gilt cartouches of varying design, including the Spanish Lion, multiple Fleur de Lis, and a proof mark, as well as the inscription ‘En Eibar 1813’ inlaid with silver and surrounded by similarly inlaid foliate design. The lock mechanism is engraved with foliate designs as well as what appears to be some text partially obscured by part of the mechanism.

Bore Diameter: 20mm.

L: 51 in., (129.5 cm.)

Condition: Very good. Some loss to gilding on some cartouches. Light staining of the barrel, consistent with age. Some minor dings and knicks to stock consistent with use.
