AUCTION 45: ANTIQUE ARMS AND ARMOR
Lot 276:
An attractive European flintlock pistol of the 18th century with an interesting twisted steel barrel. The barrel is affixed with a copper front sight just before the muzzle. The reddish-brown wood stock is decoratively carved around the breech-tang and is capped by a brass pommel.
L: 14 in., (35.6 cm.)
Condition: Good overall. Lock plate not fully set within the stock, though it is tight where it is. Some pitting to barrel consistent with age. All parts move but do not seem to be entirely functional.
