FROM ANTIQUITY TO THE 20TH CENTURY
Lot 224:
An ink and blue wash drawing attributed to Lucas van Uden, one of the leading Flemish landscape artists of his day. This example depicts a cottage set within a forested landscape, with a large church being visible in the center distance, just to the left of the large oak which makes up the focal point of this piece. According to the consigner there is an unfinished drawing on the verso. We did not disassemble the frame to photograph the verso ourselves, but we can provide images from the consigner upon request.
