FROM ANTIQUITY TO THE 20TH CENTURY
Lot 5:
A red terracotta skyphos from Ancient Greece with a darkened hue along the bottom (possibly decorative or aged). The body is bulbous tapering toward the wide base and has two D-shaped handles on each side.
Ancient Greece – 4th-2nd century.
H: 3 1/8 in., ( 8 cm.); L: 5 3/4 in., (14.5 cm.)
Condition: Goood overall. Sign of age and wear throughout. Chipping in places. See photos for reference.
