This Japanese bronze sculpture of a heron is a beautiful and intricately executed piece of work. Presented in an erect stance with an arched back and coiled neck, this statue displays the heron in a state of focused curiosity. The immense effort went into the details of the legs, each of the feathers, and most particularly the features of the face and beak.
H: 12 in., (30.5 cm.)
Condition: Nicely patinated and furnished. Minor wear to the surface. Some gilding is present.
