Utagawa Kuniyoshi, from the series Actors as the Eight Dog Heroes (Mitate Haiyû Hakkenshi).
Japanese, Edo Period.
The woodblock print is nicely framed and silk-munted.
Provemame: A private collection in New York City.
13 1/4 x 8 3/4 in., (33.5 x 22.2 cm.)
Condition: The print is well-preserved and framed under glass. There is a small spot on the samurai warrior that may be a thinning. The matting is an off-white linen.
