Late 19th-century Russian candy bowl with a matched lid. The exterior is decorated with delicate engraved floral patterns. Flanked by two flat openwork handles and raised on four feet. Gold-washed interior. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard, a female head in a kokoshnik, the Cyrillic hallmark "VI" possibly belongs to the master Vasily Ivanovich Ivanov, the owner of a silverware factory founded in 1870. Some items with this hallmark are in the collection of the State Historical Museum.
