Albert Moritz Wolf (1854-1923), late 19th century.
Patinated bronze figural grouping depicting a Russian peasant girl with two horses at the well. Dark brown patinated bronze, on the rocky base, signed in Cyrillic.
Footnote: Albert Moritz Wolff, born in Berlin, studied at the City Academy of Arts. In 1881 he debuted at an exhibition in the academy with a bust of the preacher Nessler. Monument sculptures and medals, but mostly genre sculptures, produced by small foundries, such as Gladenbeck Berlin and WMF Geislingen, are present in his Oeuvre. The artist was presumably also active in Russia, as some of his typical motifs are signed in Russian.
