A burgonet helmet in the style of the 16th century, with the characteristic visor and raised, rounded crest that runs from front to back. There are hinges on the sides which allow the sections running from the side to the front of the helmet to be swung open for easier donning and breathing.
Provenance: private collection, Italy.
H: 12 1/4 in., (31.1 cm.)
Condition: The metal is in good condition, but one flap is missing.
