A 19th-century French curved, single-edged cavalry saber. The bade is engraved on both sides with emblems possibly for military attributes. One side depicts the image of cannons and cannonballs with the corresponding French word, and the other depicts military arms and armor. The blade’s spine is engraved ‘Alix Passeron de Châtell’ denoting its manufacturing in Châtellerault.

Condition: Good overall. Signs of wear on the handle. Missing scabbard.
