An Indian tulwar of characteristic style with a nicely formed firangi style hilt. The blade is kept within a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with an iron locket and two metal cords wrapped at the top and middle.
India, 19th century.
L: 38 in., (97 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, with expected signs of age and use. Blade has minor chips and pitting in places. Surface rust on guard. Scabbard worn and missing chape.
