A 19th-century miquelet lock Caucasian (Circassian) pistol with a characteristic slender stock covered with shagreen leather. The barrel is decorated with gold. The breech is decorated with brass inlay. The round smoothbore barrel is attached to the stock by two iron nans (one is missing). The pommel is made of carved bone and equipped with a loose suspension ring.

Circassia, 19th Century.

L: 18 1/2 in., (47 cm.)

Condition: Good action, small loss to the leather close to the breech. The pistol is in good condition with expected signs of wear. The barrel gold inlay is fairly well preserved.
