A 19th-century cavalry officer’s flintlock pistol with no ramrod recess. Brass-mounted, wooden stock with heavy butt cap and lanyard ring. Original gooseneck hammer and matching frizzen with remnants of the flint still attached to the hammer. Markings on the lockplate and barrel near the breach (both illegible). Design similar to the Napoleonic Era sea service pistol, but the Ottomans possibly used this example for use by mounted soldiers.

L: 15 3/4 in., (40 cm.)
Condition: Good condition overall. Signs of age and wear throughout. Scratches and dents in wood and metal. Mechanisms function but very stiffly.
