A large Spanish flintlock pistol with an 18 mm round smoothbore barrel. Brass mounts. Long-eared cap, flat trigger guard. Two-rod channels. Miquelet-style lock plate decorated with line-engraved brass leaves at the hammer foot and the butt plate edge. Jaw screw with ring. Long walnut stock extending almost to the muzzle. Good action.
Spain, 18th Century.
L: 20 in., (51 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall. Mechanism is very stiff but functional. The flint holder screw is loose.
