A very large caplock mechanism for a wall gun, a type of large firearm that would be mounted on a defensive structure for use against attacking forces. This particular example was made by ‘Jacques Ancion et Compagnie a Liège’, an arms manufacturer based in Liège, Belgium during the 19th century, their name is stamped at the center of the lockplate. The mechanisms all seem to function well.

Condition: Good overall with some surface rust in places, more so on the back than the front. The mechanism works well.
