Комиссия аукционного дома:

A very large caplock mechanism for a wall gun, a type of large firearm that would be mounted on a defensive structure for use against attacking forces. This particular example was made by ‘Jacques Ancion et Compagnie a Liège’, an arms manufacturer based in Liège, Belgium during the 19th century, their name is stamped at the center of the lockplate. The mechanisms all seem to function well.

Liège, Belgium, Early 19th Century.

L: 11 1/2 in., (29.2 cm.)

Condition: Good overall with some surface rust in places, more so on the back than the front. The mechanism works well.
