Bruno Zach, (Ukrainian, Austrian, 1891 – 1945), a patinated bronze sculpture depicting a man fighting with a lion. Signed "Zach" and marked "Argentor" on the base. Mounted on a white quartz pedestal.
Note: Bruno Zach is known for Lithe, an Art Deco female figure sculpture. Bruno Zach was born in the town of Zhytomyr, Ukraine on May 6, 1891. Zach worked for various foundries in Vienna. Subjects of Zach’s bronze works include Western, orientalist, sporting, animalier, Art Deco, and erotic subjects. Bruno Zach worked between the years 1918 and 1935, reveling in the spirit of Art Deco.

Condition: Very good overall, clean, with a nice patina.
