Gilt-silver and enamel Russian Orthodox icon depicting St. Mary of Kazan with the Child. Housed in a wooden case with a key. Has a ‘A la Vieille Cite, Paris’ label and a handwritten inscription ‘Lidochka’s blessing to granddad’ on the verso.
Hallmarks: 84 Imperial Russian silver standard, ‘E.S.’ maker’s mak in Cyrillic.
