Manjit Bawa, (Indian, 1941 – 2008), oil on canvas painting depicting a goat with two eggplants on a bright red ground. Signed and dated ’98 on the backside.
Note: Manjit Bawa was an Indian painter who is known for his figurative paintings based on mythologies and legends. He used saturated colours to define space and the contours of figures.

Condition: Canvas has been removed from stretcher. It retains original folds and staple marks. Painting has one small dark stain towards the top right corner but is otherwise in very good condition.
