A fine Chinese inkwell set on a silver-framed, red lacquer tray with relief decoration, surmounted by a large porcelain figure of a lion with its paws on a red ball, within which is a holder for a candle. There are two inkwells attached to the tray, both of porcelain and mounted with chased silver.
