19th-century Iranian architectural ceramic tile covered with a glaze using the Cuerda seca technique, in which the water-soluble glazes do not mix with each other during firing due to the lines of the oily substance. The tile depicts an amorous couple wearing patterned clothes.
Dimensions : 9 1/8 x 9 1/8 in., (23.5 x 23.5 cm.)
Condition : Overall condition good, expected signs of wear.
