One of a kind presentation sword, probably presented by the officers to the Commander of the Officer’s School in Tarnopol, a City in Austro-Hungary (currently Ternopol, Ukraine). Nickel plated hilt, sharkskin wrapped grip wound with twisted wire, on the pommel a reversed stylized "S" is engraved, possibly a seal, nickel plated scabbard with one suspension ring. Damascus blade is marked on the gold wash ricasso by the maker “WEYERSBERG & STAMM SOLINGEN / EISENHAUER” on one side and “CARL GRASSER WAFFENFABRIK / WIEN” Blade is decorated with etching bluing and gilt on either side and the rib, one side presents floral motifs and multiple sets of panoply of arms, another side presents names of cadets and officers in three lines, a total of 12 names inscribed. Comes in the original velvet and silk lined leatherette case with presentation brass plague "BRIGADE OFFIZIERS SCHULE TARNOPOL 1890/91"
