Silver flask presented by Erwin Rommel to Erwin Menny. The flask is engraved with initials "EM" and a palm tree with a German tank in the desert, and bears presentation inscription signed by General Rommel "Ihnen mein lb. Menny nach gelungener Tat meinen aufrichtigen Dank. " The back of the flask is decorated with hammering. Lot also contains two original letters from Erwin Menny to his wife and a copy of the award sertificate. Erwin Menny was a German general (Generalleutnant) in the Wehrmacht during WWII who commanded several divisions. He was a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross.
