A wooden mask of the Bembe people in an elliptical form hand-painted in black, white, and red colors. The mask seems to consist of two parts one is a convex forehead and another of the protruding eyes. The mask demonstrates ingenuity in the interpretation of a flat face skill in the performance of complex shapes.
Dimensions: 12 1/2 x 7 1/4 in., (31.75 x 18.5 cm.)
Condition: Good condition, with slight scratches and signs of wear commensurate with age.
