A nice 19th century South Indian talwar with a lovely traditional hilt decorated with exquisite silver etched geometric motif inlay. It comes in with its original velvet lined covered scabbard embroidered with floral decorations with an old paper tag collection or museum catalogue. The sword is featuring a fine Wootz Damascus blade with an old molding line that goes across the upper section of the blade. Early 19th century.

Condition : Very good overall with excpeted signed of wear
