A French helmet of an equestrian gendarme, 1912 model. The shell is made of brass with white metal embossed parts. A scaly white metal chin strap with two round mounts with lion heads. A crest with a Medusa head in front and with a horsehair brush from above. An original leather lining with tag "55 1/2". Marked "FRANCK ET SES FILS AUBERVILLIERS".
Dimensions: H: 10 in. (25.3 cm.) L: 11 in. (28 cm.)
