Iron closed cup hilt (with inspection marks stamped on the quillon) and handle, blade is stamped on the ricasso with inspection marks, a large anchor is stamped of the blade, spine of the blade is chiseled with the French script "MANUFre Rle de CHATELLERAULT Avril …" (Royal Manufacturer, Chatellerault, April…). Stitched leather scabbard with brass mounts.
