A rare personal sword of Wilhelm I, (Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig) (born Mar. 22, 1797 — died Mar. 9, 1888), German emperor from 1871, as well as king of Prussia from 1861. Infantry pattern sword with fire gilt hilt and mother of pearl grip scales, Wilhelm’s monogram on the grip in pure 24 karat gold, blade is in pristine condition decorated with fire gilt and bluing, stitched leather scabbard with gilt fittings. One of a kind piece.
