A massive, heavy sword copied by the Prussians after the Russian Dragoon Pallasch, Pattern 1806. Brass hilt is marked with crowned "FW 56" and crowned "B" indicating the reign of Frederick Wilhelm IV, (1840-61) of Prussia. Straight blade with two wide fullers on each side, ricasso is marked "SOLINGEN" and "GEBR WEYERSBERG" and blade spine marked "FW 56" and crowned "B" Metal scabbard with two suspension tings.
