An fine transitional rapier with chiseled bronze guard and pommel featuring mythological creatures. Wooden grip wrapped with original twisted copper wire, with long flattened diamond shape blade (slightly pitted). Ca. 17th century, possible French.
Dimensions: L: 38 1/2 in., (98 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with a part of cross guard broken off
