A French Revolutionary Period shortsword or side arm featuring brass guard with bugle, leather-covered grip wrapped in original twisted copper wire, single-edged blade with one wide fuller on each side, stitched dark brown leather with brass fittings. Ca. late 18th century.
Dimensions: L: 30 in., (77 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, scabbard leather is worn slightly, brass throat is bent
