The base of the badge is a gold wreath of laurel and oak branches with superimposed, at the bottom, in gold, dates "1811" and "1911" and enameled ribbons with legend 169th Regiment. The wreath is topped with gold Emperor’s crown and monograms of Alexander I and Nicholas II. Superimposed silver double-headed eagle holding gold scepter and orb and two shields: gold and red enamel City of Moscow shield and the City of Troky shield, gold and white enamel "C" between the shields. Russian gold "54" and "VD" hallmarks on the back screw plate. The badge was established on February 25, 1911. Weight: 1.6 oz., 45.4 g.
