The miniature depicts a scene of Emperor Ferdinand II among his troops getting ready for a battle. The trumpeter with Holy Roman Empire pennant is mounted on the horse back ready to go, the Emperor is standing by the horse ready to lead the troops to the battle. Ca. 18th century.
Dimensions: 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 in., (14.7 x 12.2 cm.)
Condition: Very good with a small chip to the top right corner of the frame
