A chiseled iron hilt with various scenes finished with silver overlay, etched and gilt flattened-diamond shape blade throughout in a very good condition. The blade features two cartouches one on each side with a gilt image depicting a king wearing a crown, holding a scepter in his right hand. Late 16th — early 17th cc.
Dimensions : L: 36 1/2 in., (93 cm.)
Condition : Very good for the age, the blade retains almost all of the original gilding throughout it its length, the grip wire is original and tight, the steel chiseled clam shell guard and pommel are in good shape with chiseled figures well preserved
