In heavy engraved silver mounted finished with niello of characteristic Dagestan style, with a single-edged curved blade of a Persian shamshir form, with zoomorphic pommel and crossguard engraved and niello in-suite and a chain connecting pommel and quillon. A round cartouche at the center of the crossguard features Arabic inscriptions. The wooden scabbard is covered in black shagreen leather, mounted in thick silver. Original silver-mounted leather strap.
