Lot was removed from auction
The blade is of a flattened diamond shape (characteristic of the Mingrel Region, Georgia), the scabbard is mounted in engraved gilt-silver and niello, a carved dyed grip scales fastened to the tang by two silver rivets. Late 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 15 7/8 in., (40 cm.)
Condition: Very good overall, scabbard leather shows slight wear, blade has not been sharpened.
