With a characteristic large-eared hilt set with corals, the mounts are decorated with filigree and gilding. The re-curved steel blade features one fuller on each side and is decorated on the spine with a jewel inscription of the name of the swordsmith "Amal Muhammad 1289H./1872" and a long stylized inscription damascened with silver along with the fuller. Wooden scabbard covered with black leather and low-grade silver mounts decorated with floral scrolls. Ottoman Empire, Saframpolis, 19th century.
