An Iranian Qajar period dagger (khanjar) with a characteristic carved hilt depicting two noble figures in cartouches on both sides. A curved wootz steel blade with a pronounced central ridge. The scabbard is made of silver finished with engraving and niello, probably of the Turkish origin which is unusual for this type of Persian edged weapons.
Dimensions : L: 15 in. (38.1 cm.)
Condition : The hilt is in excellent condition, the scabbard has no dents, the blade shows some wear
