A British gilt hunting cutlass by Prosser, London a maker and supplier of the edged weapons to the Court of King George III. Horn grip wrapped in twisted copper wire, gilt-brass mounts, and with a nicely etched-decorated blade. The top scabbard mount features the following engraving: PROSSER Manufacturer to his MAJESTY, LONDON. Late 18th – early 19th cc.
Dimensions: L: 26 in., (66 cm.)
Condition: Very good with light scratches on the scabbard
