An 18th-century English officer’s shortsword with an iron hilt and oval guard, faceted pommel and grip, diamond section knuckle bow. The blade is triangular with needle-point tip, a good thrusting weapon. The scabbard is of leather with three steel fittings and two loose suspension rings. Ca. 1780.

Condition: Very good, excellent blade, slightly scratched scabbard leather, light rust on steel mounts
