Oil on canvas painting by Konstantine Stoilov. A dynamic picture depicting a scene of a wolf attack on a Cossack. A man rides through a snowy expanse on a sleigh drawn by a trio of horses. Frightened horses rush forward, snow scatters from under their hooves. The Cossack looks back anxiously. There is the signature of the artist lower left: "C. Stoiloff jun" Adolf-Konstantin Baumgarten-Stoilov (1853 — 1901) — the artist of Bulgarian origin. He became famous as the author of works depicting horses, hunting scenes, and scenes of Cossack military life. His works are presented in European museums and private collections.
