A late 18th-century miniature, Kholmogory bone carving workshops. Bone carving (possibly mammoth bone) on a green cloth backing. Round wooden frame with hanging bronze ring. An inscription in Russian is engraved on the pedestal of the monument: "TO PETER I / EKATERINA II." At the bottom of the miniature, there is a carved inscription in Russian: "Summer 1782 August 6 day" (the day of the opening of the monument to Peter I by the sculptor Falcone). Published in the Collectors and Collections catalog by the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, Moscow. 2013, p. 5
