A silver and niello tankard, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1878. The tankard is decorated with round medallions depicting views of Moscow and engraved with Cyrillic initials SZR. Hallmarks: an Ovchinnikov stamp under the two-headed Imperial eagle, assay master initials "V.S" (Cyrillic), probably for Vasily Semenov under the date 1878, 84 silver standard, St. George (Moscow). Weight: 19.2 oz., 544 g.
