A Russian silver badge of distinction of the St. Anne order. Wiht the maltese cross with crown above and engraved number: ‘485211’. Circa late19th century. Established under Emperor Paul I on November 12, 1796. In 1800, the medal was replaced. But with the advent of Alexander I in power in 1801, the medal received a second birth and existed, changing its statute, for more than a century — until 1917. Weight: 0.4 oz., (12 g.)
