Two late 19th century Russian silver and niello cigarette cases finely crafted with engraved floral ornaments. One rectangular cigarette case with rounded corners on the lid has an image of a shield and an engraving "IN MEMORY", divided on either side of the shield. It has an oval stamp with a woman’s head turned to the left and the number 84 for the silver standard and a stamp with the master’s initials "A.D." (Cyrillic). The second cigarette case, of a more elongated rectangular shape, is gilded inside, has the master’s initials stamp "BE.", the stamp of the assay master "MA / 1866" and the stamp for 84 silver standards. Total Weight: 3.3 oz., 92 g.
