A pair of Napoleon III porcelain and gilt bronze-mounted vases, 19th-century. The sky-blue ground is decorated with two hand-painted medallions: on one side, pastoral scenes with couples, on the other, various garden artifacts surrounded by flowers. The medallion with a pastoral scene is surrounded by gilded paintings with the heads of mythical creatures. The handles are decorated with masks in the shape of lion’s heads, surmounted by biscuit putti.
Dimensions: H: 16 1/4 in., (41 cm.)
Condition: Good condition, no scratches or chips, gilt on the base has light discoloration
