18th-century Frankenthal porcelain group figurine depicting Russian Empress Elizabeth on horseback attended by a blackamoor page. Based on the painting by Georg Christopher Groot (1716-1749) and on the model of the Meissen Manufactory (by the sculptor Kendler). Porcelain with polychrome painting and gilding. Marked on the base with a blue monogram ‘CT’ beneath a crown, for the elector Carl Theodore, 1762-70.
Dimensions: H: 8 1/2 in., (21.5 cm.)
Condition: Good condition, no scratches or chips.
