An original WWI combat Adrian helmet, green painted metal shell and raised comb secured with rivets (possibly later replacement), with original leather liner fastened a wool felt band, original leather chinstrap; fastened to the peak metal Infantry insignia (stylized as a flaming grenade) with raised “RF” (French Republic) initials. The helmet is unmarked. Circa: France, Third Republic.
Dimensions: 12 x 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 in.
