An original WWI combat Adrian helmet, multipiece construction, navy blue painted metal shell and raised comb secured with rivets, original leather liner fastened on a ribbed and malleable non-ferrous metal alloy band, original leather chinstrap; fastened to the peak metal Engineers/Sapeurs insignia with raised “RF” (French Republic) initials. The helmet is unmarked. Circa: France, Third Republic.
