An original WWI combat Adrian helmet, multipiece construction, navy blue painted metal shell and raised comb secured with rivets, with original leather liner fastened on a ribbed and malleable non-ferrous metal alloy band, original leather chinstrap; fastened to the peak metal Chasseurs – Mountain Troopers insignia (stylized as trumpet) with raised “RF” (French Republic) initials. The helmet is unmarked. Circa: France, Third Republic.
Dimensions: 12 3/4 x 8 x 6 1/2 in.
